Cochin, Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, Marari, Cochin
Day 1 – Welcome to Cochin
Meeting and transfer to the hotel for the start of this relaxing journey. After checking in you will visit the financial capital of Kerala, Cochin, for a tour of the Mattancherry Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, the oldest European church in India and the Santa Cruz Basilica. Spot Chinese fishing nets and unwind into your evening with an entertaining world famous Kathakali dance at the local theatre.
Day 2 – Cochin to Munnar
Driving to Munnar after breakfast, today is a vibrant picture of the coffee and tea plantations of eastern Kerala. Munnar is popular with visitors for beautiful landscapes covered with flowers in blossom and a peaceful ambiance.
Day 3 – Munnar
Discover and explore further into Munnar on a sightseeing tour, including special visits to the Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo Point. Observe a rare species of mountain goat at the Rajamalai before a stop at the Tea Museum takes you back to the emergence of the trade in the 1880’s.
Day 4 - Thekkady
The charm of the Western Ghats are to be experienced on your singles travel to Periyar, the location of significant hillsides and spice plantations. The National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is a famous reserve to elephants and tigers up in the Cardamom Hills.
Take a boat ride tour of the park, see the elephants herd by the edge of the water whilst other animals and tropical greenery transfer you into paradise. Take the chance to ride on an elephants back before the end of the day.
Day 5 - Houseboat
Get ready for an experience in a master crafted houseboat on the Kerala back waters! Pass through rivers, lagoons and canals which are fringed by luscious green palms and tranquil resting paddy fields. Your houseboat is equipped with a balcony and chair to watch the scenery go by. This is the moment you have arrived at the heart of Kerala and its magical characteristics. A deliciously fresh cuisine is served on board the houseboat by the friendly chef so sit back and enjoy the world around you! In Alleppey we have a few opportunities to visit local villages and test yourself at fishing or a one-off experience making alcohol from coconut palm sap.
Day 6 – Houseboat, Alleppey to Marari
Your ultimate relaxation will peak at the coconut palm fringed Marari Beach, an effortlessly beautiful and calm area within the Alleppey district. Look out into the sea and watch the sun set over the beach scene for a paradise of colours and tranquility.
Day 7 to 10 – Marari
After easing into the beach atmosphere, today you can extend your knowledge of Marari by visiting the nearby fishermen’s village for a taste of local seafood. Try an Ayurveda massage on your last day to complete your stay in Kerala on a high.
Day 11 – Departure to the UK
Breakfast is served for our guests to share memories before the return flight home.

Solo travellers should not miss the enviable experience onboard a Kerala houseboat, drifting through the maze of rivers and mystical scenery.
