Our holiday will take you to Finlands’ most Northerly point, hidden away from light pollution and urban glows – this dark retreat make it the perfect place to view the lights whilst they dance their dance right before your eyes.
Finland is one of the best places on Earth to spot the Northern Lights - they appear on more than 200 nights a year in Finnish Lapland, however there is much more to Finland than the sensational luminescent sky displays.
Our Resort
The area is exquisite in its natural beauty, with vast expanses of pine forest stretching out as far as the eye can see. Tunturi (small rounded fells) crop up between the densely packed trees and of course the stark climactic conditions add an extra element of beauty. It is sparsely populated, making it the ideal place if you are after some tranquillity and serenity. Though of course as you’ll be travelling with a group, you won’t be short of company. Of course, Lapland is famed for being the home of Santa Claus and this fairytale element is something that really suits the beautiful scenery and magical feel of this unique travel destination.

Your adventure begins as you arrive at Rovaniemi Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your centrally located hotel – the Hotel Santa Claus or a similar inviting property. After check-in, take some time to unwind or explore the nearby wintery streets of Rovaniemi at your own pace.
As night falls, the excitement truly begins. Join your fellow solo travellers for your first Northern Lights safari, venturing out beyond the town’s glow into the vast Arctic wilderness. With luck, you’ll witness the aurora dance across the night sky – a spectacular start to your Lapland escape.

After a hearty breakfast, set off together for a guided visit to the enchanting Santa Claus Village. Meet Santa himself, cross the Arctic Circle, and soak in the festive charm of this iconic destination. There’s time to explore, shop for unique souvenirs, and capture the moment.
In the afternoon, feel the thrill of a 1-hour Husky Safari. Let a team of energetic huskies pull you through silent, snow-blanketed forests, guided by experienced mushers. It’s a rush of adventure and beauty all in one.
The evening is yours to relax, enjoy a cosy meal, or discover more of Rovaniemi with your fellow travellers.

Start your day with breakfast, then embrace the peaceful side of Lapland with a traditional Reindeer Safari. Glide gently through snowy woodlands in a reindeer-drawn sled, experiencing the timeless tranquillity of the Arctic landscape.
The afternoon is free for you to choose – perhaps indulge in an optional excursion, visit a local sauna, or simply enjoy the comforts of your hotel. This is your time to savour the serene beauty of Lapland, your way.

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the magical landscapes and new friends you’ve made along the way. Transfer to Rovaniemi Airport for your journey home, with unforgettable memories and maybe even plans for your next solo escape.

Stylishly decorated rooms are finished with wooden panels from floor to ceiling, making it very much in keeping with the Lapland interior.
Accommodation
Scandic Rovaniemi City’s rooms feature modern design, wooden floors and comfortable easy chairs. All have a TV and a bathroom with a shower. The local atmosphere is an integral part of the hotel experience, which is reflected in the stylishly decorated rooms.
Facilities
In the hotel restaurant, sample Nordic and local delicacies served from lunch to dinner and you can also enjoy a drink at the hotel bar with friends. Relax in our sauna which is located on the top and keep up with your daily exercise in our modern gym.
In addition, the hotel has a well-equipped 24-hour shop that sells coffee, drinks, small snacks and practical supplies. All areas of our hotel have free Wi-Fi.
