HELPING YOU WITH COVID-19 TESTING

Some countries require you to provide a negative COVID-19 test before you travel. To make getting your test sorted as easy as possible, we’ve teamed up with a global healthcare partner – Randox. Here’s everything you need to know…

HOW TO ORDER A COVID-19 TEST

• You can buy a discounted kit for a self-administered COVID-19 test – also know as a PCR or Polymerase Chain Reaction test – through our recommended supplier, Randox, who we've vetted for quality for your peace of mind.
• Head to this Randox testing kit order page to get one
• Kits are sent out by Randox for next-day delivery to your home – as long as you order by 12pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays in Northern Ireland. But just so you know, this can sometimes take up to two business days.
• Make sure you order a testing kit as early as possible before your holiday, to ensure it arrives in time.

WHO NEEDS TO GET A TEST?

  1. This varies by country. Some countries require all passengers of any age to get a test. Other countries require this for adults and children aged 12 or over.
  2. It’s your responsibility to ensure you get the correct tests carried out in line with the entry requirements for the country you’re travelling to.
  3. It’s important to note that, when you’re ordering the testing kits, you’ll need to purchase one for all passengers on your booking – unless they’re exempt from testing due to their age. You can’t opt to order one for some passengers on the booking, and not for others. You can order 10 testing kits per transaction, so you will need to carry out multiple transactions if you're travelling as a party larger than this.

WHAT DO YOU GET IN A RANDOX COVID-19 TEST KIT?

Every COVID-19 test kit comes with the following items:

  1. Swab
  2. Sample collection tube
  3. Transportation tube
  4. Pathoseal bag
  1. Large postal envelope
  2. Reference number labels

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR TEST ARRIVES

When you receive your test, you’ll find instructions on how to correctly complete it inside. There's also more information on how to complete the test, how to send it off and how you’ll receive your results on the Randox testing kit order page.

Before you carry out your test, make sure you check the test timing requirements for the country you’re travelling to. If you carry out your test too early, it may be invalid.

To send your completed test back free of charge, Randox recommends using DX Express – a trusted medical courier. It’s the quickest way to get your test back to the Randox Laboratory, and there’ll be delivery details included with your testing kit. They have 30 designated drop-off points around the UK – head to their website for more details.

Alternatively, you can pay for recorded delivery with the Royal Mail or another courier service.

WHEN YOU'LL RECEIVE YOUR TEST RESULTS AND WHAT TO DO NEXT

Results of your test will be provided within 24 hours of the sample arriving at the lab. They'll be sent to you directly. Once you’ve received your negative test result, how and when you’ll need to submit this in order to prove you're ok to travel depends on the country or destination you’re travelling to.
